Crazy Time

Crazy Time is Evolution's live money-wheel game show: a presenter spins a physical 54-segment wheel, and players bet on four number spots or on four bonus games. Before each result, a two-reel Top Slot above the wheel can attach a multiplier of up to 50x to one bet spot. The four bonus games are Coin Flip, Cash Hunt, Pachinko and the Crazy Time bonus. Each one plays differently, and the largest has a published ceiling of 20,000x.

How Crazy Time Works

Since its July 2020 launch, Crazy Time has become the reference title in the game-show category, and Evolution calls it the biggest live casino table in the world.

💡 Most lobbies that carry Evolution already list it, so the real decisions are about placement and promotion. It anchors the game-show row, it has led to standalone spin-offs built from its bonus rounds, and its four bonus games give a promotions team more distinct events to build around than most live titles.

Evolution based Crazy Time on the money-wheel concept it first used in Dream Catcher. It then spent a year building the bonus layer, which made Crazy Time the most expensive game the studio had produced to date. It was the headline title on Evolution’s stand at ICE 2020. Evolution designed it with slot players in mind, and the structure shows it: one quick betting decision, a reel-style multiplier before the spin, and bonus rounds that end in a visible multiplier reveal.

Each round opens with a 15-second betting window. Players can back any combination of eight spots: the numbers 1, 2, 5 and 10, which pay at those odds, and the four bonus games. When betting closes, the presenter spins the wheel, and the Top Slot spins with it, pairing one bet spot with a multiplier. If the wheel stops on that spot, the payout is multiplied. When the Top Slot lands on a bonus spot, its multiplier carries into the bonus game itself, and that combination produces the game’s largest results.

Number results settle immediately. A bonus result moves the show into the matching game. Everyone at the table watches it, but only players with a bet on that spot are paid. The four numbers cover 45 of the 54 segments, so most rounds end on the wheel, and about one spin in six leads to a bonus game.

The Four Bonus Games

Each bonus uses a different format and asks a different amount of the player, so the show changes depending on where the wheel stops.

Coin Flip is the most frequent bonus. Two multipliers are drawn, one for each side of a red-and-blue coin, and the coin is flipped. Players make no choices, and the round is short and easy to follow. Its published maximum is 5,000x, which is only reachable with a 50x Top Slot multiplier.

Cash Hunt is the only bonus where each player can get a different result. A wall of 108 multipliers is shuffled behind symbols; each player aims at one target before the timer runs out, and a cannon reveals the multiplier behind it. A Top Slot multiplier boosts the whole wall before anyone picks. The largest result Evolution has published for the game came from this round.

Pachinko drops a puck down a wall of pegs into a row of prize zones. If the puck lands on a Double, every multiplier in the bottom row doubles and the puck drops again. This repeats until the puck lands on a value or the board reaches its 10,000x limit. Players only watch, and the repeated doubling gives the round a clear build-up.

The Crazy Time bonus is the rarest result on the wheel. Players go through a red door into a virtual studio with a giant wheel and choose one of three flappers: blue, green, or yellow. When the wheel stops, they win the multiplier shown by their flapper. A Double or Triple multiplies the values on the wheel and sends it around again, and that is how the round reaches its ceiling.

Two of the four bonuses ask players to choose, and two simply play out, so the table mixes participation with moments players only watch.

Crazy Time vs Sweet Bonanza CandyLand

Crazy Time by Evolution and Sweet Bonanza CandyLand by Pragmatic Play Live shown side by side with their money wheels and bonus games

Crazy Time and Sweet Bonanza CandyLand take different routes to the live money-wheel format: Evolution builds around four distinct bonus games, while Pragmatic Play brings its Sweet Bonanza universe into the live studio.

Ice Fishing, Evolution’s 2025 money-wheel show, is probably the most direct comparison for Crazy Time, and we compare the two side by side in our Ice Fishing article. So, instead of repeating that here, this section looks outside Evolution at Sweet Bonanza CandyLand from Pragmatic Play Live. Both titles combine a presenter-spun wheel, number bets, and several bonus games, and both were built to bring slot players into live casino.

The main difference lies in where each title derives its identity. Crazy Time is an original show with its own bonus formats. CandyLand takes its theme and its main bonus from Pragmatic Play’s Sweet Bonanza slot. Sweet Spins plays as ten free spins of that slot on the studio screen, so anyone who knows the slot already understands the feature.

💡 If your lobby has a strong Pragmatic slot audience, that link gives CandyLand a cross-sell route that Crazy Time doesn’t have.

The multipliers also work differently. Crazy Time’s Top Slot is set before the result and only pays off if the wheel lands on the chosen spot. CandyLand’s Sugar Bomb is a wheel result in its own right: it awards a multiplier and a free respin, and if the respin lands on another Sugar Bomb, the two multipliers are multiplied together. Inside the bonus layer, Crazy Time offers more variety, with four formats compared to three.

💡 Since the two serve the same lobby role without duplicating each other, carrying both gives the game-show row a second studio and a second visual style, and gives slot-first players a familiar way in through CandyLand. Crazy Time remains the one with more bonus variety.

Where Crazy Time Fits in the Lobby

Crazy Time belongs at the front of the game-show row, next to Evolution’s other shows such as MONOPOLY Live, Funky Time and Dream Catcher. Live game-show players look for it there, and it is usually the title they compare newer shows against.

💡 Because the structure is close to a slot, it also fits a cross-vertical collection for slot players trying live casino for the first time.

The franchise adds depth. Evolution has turned Crazy Time’s bonus rounds into standalone titles, including Crazy Coin Flip, Crazy Pachinko and Red Door Roulette, which give players who prefer one bonus format a game built entirely around it. Grouping these titles with Crazy Time in one collection presents them as a family, rather than scattering similar names across the lobby.

However, in this format rounds take longer than on a quick wheel or a crash game, because each bonus needs time to play out. The bets that draw the most attention, the bonus spots, are also the ones with the lowest return. Players who want short rounds or the highest return on a single bet will find better options elsewhere in the game-show row.

Promoting Crazy Time

Crazy Time gives you several separate events to build creative around. The Top Slot shows a multiplier every round, each of the four bonus games has its own visual style, and the published multiplier ceilings give big-win messaging a concrete figure to point to.

Campaigns run through bonus funds and tournaments. GR8_TECH’s bonus engine applies wagering at product level, so a Crazy Time offer can be limited to live casino instead of spreading across slots and instant games. Our tournament engine shows players their ranking on a real-time leaderboard.

💡 Because the same game can run in several tournaments at once, Crazy Time can appear in a dedicated game-show competition and a broader live-casino event simultaneously.

Total-wager scoring works well with the title because every round settles a bet, while bonus-round wins provide the results worth announcing.

Integrating Crazy Time Via GR8_TECH

Crazy Time is the title players most expect to find in a live game-show row, and its Top Slot and four bonus games provide steady promotional material. Through GREAT_CASINO AGGREGATION, it runs on the same integration as the rest of the Evolution catalog. The practical work is placing it and its spin-offs in the lobby and choosing the bonus and tournament setups to run around it, and we can help with both.
