Andar Bahar by Ezugi (Evolution)

Andar Bahar by Ezugi is a live dealer version of the traditional Indian card game. A dealer turns one card face up, then deals from a single deck to two sides, Andar and Bahar, until a card of the same rank appears. Players bet on which side receives it. The main bets pay at or close to even money. One optional side bet on how many cards the dealer needs to find the match offers payouts of up to 120-to-1.

Ezugi has been part of Evolution Group since 2018 and was among the first live providers to offer Andar Bahar on a studio table.

Ezugi’s main Andar Bahar table streams from its flagship studio in Bucharest, Romania, with live chat and an HTML5 client for desktop and mobile browsers. In November 2022, Ezugi relaunched the standard table with a new interface, graphics and animations, at the same time as it released Ultimate Andar Bahar. Ezugi has also run an over-the-table edition, dealt on the floor of the Marina Casino in Colombo, Sri Lanka.

How Andar Bahar Works

The first card of each round is called the Joker. It is not a wild card; it only sets the rank the round is looking for. Once betting closes, the dealer deals alternately to Andar and Bahar. Suit does not matter. The first card that matches the Joker’s rank ends the round, and all bets settle at once.

The side that receives the first card gets the first chance at every pair of cards, so it wins slightly more often: about 51.5% of rounds, compared to 48.5%. The paytable compensates for this. The side dealt first pays 0.9 to 1, and the other side pays even money.

⚠️ Both main bets end up with a narrow house edge and outcomes close to a coin flip. For a live table, that profile is unusually transparent: players watch the deck being worked through, card by card, and the result depends on nothing but the order of the cards.

The side bet runs on the same deal. Players choose the bracket in which the match will be held, from cards 1–5 to cards 41–51. A match typically comes around the 13th card, so the short and middle brackets pay modest multiples, and the long deals carry the largest payouts. This is the game’s only real source of volatility. It also gives a round with very little decision-making a second reason to watch until the last card.

Andar Bahar vs Ultimate Andar Bahar

Side-by-side comparison of Andar Bahar and Ultimate Andar Bahar by Ezugi, featuring live dealers, Indian-inspired casino studios, playing cards, and Ultimate's 2x, 3x, and 5x multipliers.

Two versions of the same Indian card game, two different betting experiences. Ezugi’s classic Andar Bahar keeps the traditional near-even-money payouts, while Ultimate Andar Bahar adds random multipliers of up to 5x to selected cards and side bets, creating opportunities for larger wins.

Ultimate Andar Bahar is the closest comparison because it is the same game on the same deal.

Specification Andar Bahar Ultimate Andar Bahar
Released Around 2020 November 2022
Main bets 0.9 to 1 on the side dealt first, 1 to 1 on the other Same base payouts; 2x, 3x or 5x multipliers on one to three random cards, up to 125x
Side bet Cards-dealt brackets Same brackets; one to eight brackets receive 2x, 3x or 5x multipliers, up to 500x
Cost per bet Standard stake Stake plus a surcharge that funds the multipliers
Stream Bucharest studio Same dealer and stream as the standard table

Ultimate does not add a second table so much as a second price point. Both versions follow one dealer and one stream, so a player in Ultimate sees exactly the same cards as a player at the standard table.

What changes is the paytable. Random multipliers land on selected cards and side-bet brackets, which lifts the top main-bet outcome from even money to 125x. Players pay for that through a surcharge on each bet.

💡 The standard table serves players who want the game as they know it, at near-even money. Ultimate serves players who want the multiplier layer on top. When placed side by side, the two titles cover both groups without splitting live traffic between two separate tables.

Andar Bahar Lobby Fit and Promotion

Andar Bahar belongs in the part of the lobby built for South Asian players, next to Ezugi’s Bet on Teen Patti, Lucky 7, and Cricket War. It also sits naturally beside Dragon Tiger and baccarat. Like them, it is a fast card game with a binary main bet and no player decisions once the stake is placed.

In terms of promotion, the game gives you three hooks to work with:

  • Familiar name
  • Short rounds with near-even main bets
  • Side bet whose brackets give each deal a visible build-up

GR8_TECH’s segmentation tools let you address cricket bettors or existing live casino players directly. Product-level wagering in our bonus engine lets you target a bonus specifically at live casino games instead of the whole casino.

💡 Since bonuses with live casino wagering are the natural choice here, a themed collection that groups Andar Bahar with Ezugi’s other Indian titles gives both the campaign and the bonus a clear destination in the lobby.

Licensing and Integration: Ezugi (Evolution), GR8_TECH and Your Brand

Andar Bahar is a live service, and that shapes how responsibility is split. The dealer, the cards, the stream, the game server, and the result all stay on Ezugi’s side. GR8_TECH connects that service to your platform and manages the integration between you and the supplier. You hold the player relationship and the license to offer live casino to those players. Ezugi supplies its games under the Evolution group’s licenses.

For an operator integrating Andar Bahar through GR8_TECH, that translates into four practical obligations:

  • Declare every brand, domain and target market at onboarding, and tell us before a new domain or mirror goes live, not after.
  • Run your own geo-blocking in line with the supplier’s restricted territories. Supplier-side blocking exists, but it does not replace yours.
  • Keep your license, ownership and AML documentation current. The supplier’s regulator expects it to know the businesses it supplies, and requests for that information come through us.
  • Apply your license’s responsible gambling controls to live casino in full. Andar Bahar rounds are short, and deposit limits, session reminders and self-exclusion must work on a live table exactly as they do on slots.

Adding Andar Bahar Through GR8_TECH

Once the regulatory requirements are fulfilled, it’s all downhill. Andar Bahar is live on our network in no time; GREAT_CASINO AGGREGATION allows the game to reach your lobby via the same integration as the rest of the Ezugi catalog and the more than 250 casino providers we work with. From there, we can help you decide where the table should sit and whether Ultimate Andar Bahar should be placed next to it. We can also help you point live casino bonuses and segmented campaigns at the players most likely to recognize it.
