<li>Own backend architecture decisions and shape the long-term technical direction of the platform.</li>
<li>Drive adoption of engineering best practices across the team.</li>

<li>Translate product and business needs into scalable, production-ready solutions.</li>

<li>Design systems using modern patterns (event-driven, CQRS, DDD).</li>
<li>Identify risks early and propose pragmatic, proven solutions.</li>

<li>Design, build, and ship high-quality backend services in .NET powering live trading operations.</li>
<li>Own the full development lifecycle: from design to production and ongoing support.</li>
<li>Ensure code quality through reviews, testing, and strong engineering standards.</li>
<li>Optimize for low latency, scalability, and efficient resource usage.</li>
<li>Improve CI/CD pipelines and drive deployment automation.</li>

<li>Partner with Product, Design, and DevOps to align on priorities and delivery.</li>
<li>Communicate technical decisions clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.</li>

<li>Mentor engineers and support their growth.</li>

<p><strong>Must-have</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Strong experience with C# / .NET in building scalable, high-load backend systems.</li>
<li>Experience designing distributed systems and microservices architectures.</li>
<li>Solid knowledge of event-driven architecture and messaging systems (Kafka or similar).</li>
<li>Strong expertise in databases (SQL + NoSQL), including performance tuning and scaling.</li>
<li>Experience with CI/CD, Docker, and Kubernetes.</li>
<li>Ability to make architectural decisions and take ownership end-to-end.</li>
<li>Experience operating high-availability, low-latency systems.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Nice-to-have</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Experience with Orleans, MongoDB, RabbitMQ, Elasticsearch.</li>
<li>Experience with AWS or other cloud platforms.</li>
<li>Familiarity with observability tools (APM, logging, tracing).</li>
<li>Understanding of FinOps / cloud cost optimization.</li>
<li>Previous experience mentoring or leading engineers.</li>
